Round 07: Mark Sets New Standard

At the start of Round 07 Mark was nestled in mid-table (12th). By the end of Saturday and after four exacts, he was up to fourth and threatening to break the 15 point One-Round-Wonder target.

Mark eventually limped to the top of the One-Round-Wonder table with 16 points, after picking up just three points from Sunday’s four matches – only Tottenham’s 2-0 victory over Manchester City returned nil points for him. Also, by the end of the Round he’d propelled himself into second place, three points behind Jamie (S) at the top.

Speaking of Jamie (S), he moved to the top of the table of Saturday’s matches for the first time this season. Despite a poor day on Sunday – just one point from four matches – he has already opened up a three point gap at the top, from Mark, Simon and Dan.

Just outside the top six, in seventh, is the in form Shaun, who has now scored 24 points in the last two rounds – an average of 1.20 per match – lifting him from second bottom (17th) to seventh in the process.

We have a two week break before hostilities resume on October 15th – don’t forget to enter your predictions for the Saturday lunchtime kick-off.
