2016/17 – Game 02 – Round 08: Small Weekend

Round 08 is a really, really short Round! Just four matches for you to predict what with the FA Cup quarter-finals and stuff!

So, not a lot going on this weekend in terms of Premier League football.

League Tables

There are just three matches on Saturday, with all of those kicking-off at 3pm. Bournemouth will host West Ham in the knowledge that they have yet to beat a team from London (W0 D3 L5) in the top flight! Bournemouth have also yet to win a Premier League match in 2017 – their last win was New Years Eve. Any points at all for the Hammers will see them enter the top ten.

Seventh play eighth when WBA make the trip North to Goodison Park to take on Everton. Tony pulis will be taking charge of his 300th Premier League match.

The final match at 3pm on Saturday will see struggling Hull take on (not quite so, but almost as much) struggling Swansea. Hull have already beaten Swansea 2-0 twice this season, so they may be going into this one with some confidence.

“Hull and Swansea have conceded the most goals in the final 30 minutes of Premier League matches this season: Hull City (28), Swansea City (27).”

Just one match on Sunday. Liverpool will be hoping to open a five point gap to Arsenal in fifth place when they welcome Burnley to Anfield. They’ll feel pretty confident of a victory as Burnley arrive with the worst away record in the Premier League so far this season, which includes not winning a match at all (W0 D2 L11)!

Below you can see three tables – one for the current Round, one for the month-to-date standings, and finally the total points to-date.
