2017/18 – Game 01 – Round 12

Jamie Sawyer will be looking to defend his five point lead at the top of the table on a weekend that sees no less than eight matches on Saturday afternoon.

Saturday starts with a tasty North London derby when Tottenham travel to The Emirates to take on Arsenal. Then we’re transported back to the 80’s with the opportunity to follow six top flight English matches at three o’clock on a Saturday afternoon. At tea time we’ll be able to follow the battle of the United’s when Manchester take on Newcastle at Old Trafford.

Compared to Saturday, Sunday is a barren wasteland, with just the one match to entertain us, when Watford and West Ham clash in their endeavours to be crowned Top Premier League Club Beginning with W – Watford have the definite advantage in that regard at the moment, but have lost their last three PL fixtures.

Brighton and Stoke ensure that the weekend lasts all the way through to Monday evening though, when someone will probably have an opportunity to overturn the 14 points currently needed to go top of the One Round Wonder table.

One Round Wonder

It’s curious that the target for One-Round-Wonder remains 14 points and that there still seems to be a block to beating the current best One Round Score of 13. There have been no less than six round scores of 13 so far – will this be the Round where Jamie Cox and Martin Hayman are dislodged from the top?
