Round 03: Review

The Manchester clubs messed everybody’s Tuesday up, with Man Utd’s home draw against Burnley and Man City’s defeat away to Newcastle. Damian Chapman (8 pts) and Steve Keaye (6) were the only players to collect anything like half-decent points from the six matches. 23 of our 31 players scored just two or three points on Tuesday!

Damian remained top of the Round after it was concluded on Wednesday, finishing on 12 points. Lloyd Hide (11) and the always consistent Martin Gayton (10) were just behind him for the Round.

Player of the Month: Neale Ray

There were just four points covering the top nine places going into Wednesday’s last four matches of January. Neale Rays innocuous seven points in Round 3 were enough to secure January’s Player-of-the-Month and the £19.58 that goes with it.

Neale took the prize by just one point from three players – Damian Chapman, Martin Gayton and Scott Symonds. It’s Neale’s first money winning achievement in SPAGames at the start of his second Game of Premier Predictions.

Round 04: Preview

It’s back to weekend matches for Round 04 with no less than seven matches on Saturday, starting with Tottenham hosting Newcastle at lunchtime (12:30pm). That’s followed by five matches at three o’clock before Cardiff v Bournemouth at teatime (5:30pm).

Just two matches on Sunday starts at 2:05pm with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Man Utd looking to win their eighth match in-a-row when they travel to Leicester. The second match on Sunday (4:00pm) sees second place Man City host fifth place Arsenal. Round 04 finishes on Monday evening when West Ham play Liverpool at the London Stadium.

Rearranged Matches

The League Cup Final this year will see Manchester City take on Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday 24th February. Because of this match the Everton v Man City and Chelsea v Brighton matches, which were originally scheduled for that weekend, will be re-arranged. You can read how the rescheduled matches are handled in the Rules of Premier Predictions.

Everton v Man City has been moved from Saturday 23rd February (5:30pm) to Wednesday 06th February at 7:45pm. In line with rearranged match rules, this match has been removed from its original Round, but does stay in the February calculation. Chelsea v Brighton will also be rearranged, but hasn’t been yet.

Twenty Point Jackpot: Going Up

The Jackpot will be £24 for Round 04 and will continue to grow at the rate of £1 per Round until somebody achieves the magical 20 points. Should there be no winner in Game 02, then the prize will be rolled-over into next season and would start at £38.
