Round 04: Review

Gareth Bridges (13 points) was top dog in Round 04, out scoring his nearest rivals by a full three points – Gary Alcroft, Mike Hodgson and Simon Allen all scored ten points. Round 04 was also the first week in February’s Player-of-the-Month, so Gareth is top for the month as well at the moment.

In the Overall Table, just four points cover the top eleven places after Round 04, with Darren Bellamy top of the pile. It’s also interesting to note that four previous Premier Predictions winners occupy the top five positions, including the defending champion and four times winner Mike Hodgson. The highest placed non-previous winner is Neale Ray in fourth place.

Round 05: Preview

It’s another bumper Saturday in Round 05 with seven matches starting at 12:30 with Fulham v Man Utd, followed by five matches at 3pm. The teatime match (on BT Sport) sees resurgent Burnley (W3 D3) travel all the way down to struggling Brighton (W1 D2 L3).

Three of the top four teams in the Premier League play on Sunday. First up at 1:30pm Tottenham host Leicester (who haven’t won in four). Pep Guardiola this week claimed Chelsea are still in the title chase despite being 12 points behind top spot. Pep’s Man City welcome Chelsea to the Etihad Sunday teatime (4:00pm).

Wolves, off the back of three straight PL wins (Leicester, West Ham and Everton), host Newcastle on Monday Night Football to close out the Round.

Twenty Point Jackpot: Going Up

The Jackpot will be £25 for Round 05 and will continue to grow at the rate of £1 per Round until somebody achieves the magical 20 points. Should there be no winner in Game 02, then the prize will be rolled-over into next season and would start at £38.
