Round 05: Review

Before the Premier Predictions break for the FA Cup last sixteen, Round 05 was a really close affair – no less than seven players shared equal top spot with ten points apiece.

It’s still really close at the top, with five points covering the top nine. The top four players are all looking to add to their Stars as they are all previous winners of Premier Predictions – Simon Allen (3 previous wins), Jamie Sawyer (2) and Darren Bellamy & Gareth Bridges (1 each).

Round 06: Preview

Keep an eye out of Friday this week as there are two Premier League matches to predict – Cardiff v Watford and West Ham v Fulham (Sky Sports, 7:45pm). I assume these matches have been moved to make way for the League Cup Final on Sunday.

Talking of the League Cup Final, because of this match between Chelsea and Man City, there are only eight PL matches to predict in Round 06 – only four of which are on Saturday. The Saturday lunchtime match sees Burnley host Spurs, while teatime sees Leicester and Palace play each other.

Sandwiched between those two matches are two 3pm kick-offs. The Round finishes with two 2:05pm matches on Sunday when Arsenal take on Southampton and Man Utd see if they can continue their good run in the Premier :League when they host Liverpool (Sky Sports).

Round 07: Midweek Matches & End of the Month

Straight after this weekend’s matches we’re into Round 07 in midweek. The matches on Tuesday and Wednesday mark the end of Premier Predictions scoring for February and the second Player-of-the-Month award in Game 02, which is flying by.

There are four matches on Tuesday including the Newcastle v Burnley match on BT Sport at 8pm. The highlight on Wednesday is probably Chelsea v Tottenham, also on BT Sport.

The top of the Month table has three players all tied on 21 points (Shaun Allen, Gareth Bridges and Simon Allen) with a further two players just one point behind in Gary Alcroft and Darren Bellamy.

Twenty Point Jackpot: Going Up

The Jackpot will be £26 for Round 06 and will continue to grow at the rate of £1 per Round until somebody achieves the magical 20 points. Should there be no winner in Game 02, then the prize will be rolled-over into next season and would start at £38.
