Round 10: Review

Round Ten involved predicting just five matches, so it was never going to be a big scoring week. Chris Eastment, Lloyd Hide and Simon Allen were the top scores, securing 7 points-a-piece as they did. That’s the equivalent of a 14 point week in a full ten match round – so not too bad at all really.

Those seven Round points moved Simon two points clear at the top of the Overall table (84 points), ahead of Scott Symonds (82) in second and three ahead of Martin Gayton (81) in third. Just outside of the top three Gary Alcroft (81) is the only other player to have reached 80 points.

Midweek Matches: Tuesday & Wednesday

This week we have some bonus matches to predict as the Premier League catches up on those postponed matches from the latter rounds of the FA Cup. These rearranged matches don’t count towards any Round scores but will count towards the final Player of the Month totals (April & May). These are the matches on Tuesday & Wednesday…

Tuesday 02nd April

  • 19:45 – Watford v Fulham
  • 19:45 – Wolves v Man Utd (Sky Sports)

Wednesday 03rd April

  • 19:45 – Chelsea v Brighton
  • 19:45 – Man City v Cardiff (Sky Sports)
  • 19:45 – Spurs v Palace

Player of the Month: March

Round 11 represents the last opportunity to score points in the March Player-of-the-Month table. All of this weekend’s matches will count apart from Monday’s match (Arsenal v Newcastle). You can see the current Player of the Month table at the bottom of this post.

Going into the final weekend of the month Gary Alcroft leads the way on 26 points, one point ahead of Mike Hodgson (25 points) in second. These two are being pushed along by Simon Allen and Derek Wilson who are both on 23 points.

In the event two or more players end the month on the same points, then the prize money (£19.58) will be shared equally amongst those players, as it was in February when Shaun Allen and Gareth Bridges shared the prize.

Twenty Point Jackpot: Increasing

The Jackpot will be £31 for Round 11 and will continue to grow at the rate of £1 per Round until somebody achieves the magical 20 points. Should there be no winner in Game 02, then the prize will be rolled-over into next season and would start at £38.
