Round 13: Review

Chris Eastment was unfortunate in Round 13 not to take the One Round Wonder lead. An inauspicious Friday night (nil points) was followed by an above average Saturday (8 points from 6 matches) before scoring maximum points on Sunday (6 from 2 matches).

That just left Chris needing a three-pointer in Monday night’s match. He felt Watford would be good enough to draw 1-1 at home to Arsenal. Unfortunately Arsenal had other ideas and won 1-0. So Martin Hayman remains top of the One Round Wonder table with ‘just’ 15 points.

Round 14: Matches

Round 14 is a fairly standard format weekend. It all starts on Saturday lunchtime and culminates on Monday evening. In midweek next week there are also bonus re-arranged matches. These won’t count towards any Round totals but of course do count towards the Month and Overall tables.

  • 15:00 – Bournemouth v Fulham
  • 15:00 – Huddersfield v Watford
  • 15:00 – West Ham v Leicester
  • 15:00 – Wolves v Brighton
  • 17:30 – Newcastle v Southampton (BT Sport)

Sunday 21st April

  • 13:30 – Everton Man Utd (Sky Sports)
  • 16:00 – Arsenal v Crystal Palace
  • 16:00 – Cardiff v Liverpool (Sky Sports)

Monday 22nd April

  • 20:00 – Chelsea v Burnley (Sky Sports)

Player of the Month: Way Ahead

After an incredible run of predictions, Scott Symonds has built himself a six point lead in the seasons final Player of the Month table. In the 23 matches of April so far, Scott has achieved seven one-point returns and eight exact predictions – that’s 15 scoring matches out of 23 at an average of 1.35 points per prediction!

Trailing in Scott’s wake are Chris Eastment and Mark Vincent on 25 points a piece (1.09 points per match). Jamie Sawyer is having a useful month, averaging exactly one point per prediction. The current Player of the Month will last until the end of the season.

Twenty Point Jackpot: Increasing

The Jackpot will be £32 for Round 12 and will continue to grow at the rate of £1 per Round until somebody achieves the magical 20 points. Should there be no winner in Game 02, then the prize will be rolled-over into next season and would start at £38.
