Round 14: Review

Jason Brown had the best weekend of anyone in Round 14. Although his ten points wasn’t amazing, it was only his second double point return after scoring 13 in Round 11. It was also enough to move Jason into ninth overall and top of the Month table (see below).

Marcus Allen (9 points) and Ben Alcroft (8) were second and third in the Round with a whole load of players scoring 7 points in a particularly low scoring Round as those teams battling for the Champions League places stumbled and cost us all vital points.

Jason continued his recent good form with an excellent midweek set of results – he scored seven points from four matches (1.75 per prediction), including three-point predictions for Watford v Southampton (1-1) and United v City (0-2).

Round 15: Matches

Round 15 kicks-off with a match on Friday evening, so do go getting caught out by that one. There’s plenty to keep us entertained and then we have three matches on Sunday.

Friday 26th April

  • 20:00 – Liverpool v Huddersfield (Sky Sports)

Saturday 27th April

  • 12:30 – Tottenham v West Ham (Sky Sports)
  • 15:00 – Palace v Everton
  • 15:00 – Fulham v Cardiff
  • 15:00 – Southampton v Bournemouth
  • 15:00 – Watford v Wolves
  • 17:30 – Brighton v Newcastle (BT Sport)

Sunday 28th April

  • 12:00 – Leicester v Arsenal
  • 14:05 – Burnley v Man City
  • 16:30 – Man Utd v Chelsea

Player of the Month: New Leader

After his fantastic run at the start of April, Scott Symond’s ‘luck’ seems to have run out. He’s nailed just one three-point prediction in the last 17 matches! This poor run of returns has allowed the in-form Jason Brown to overturn a considerable lead at the top of the Player of the Month table.

Before Round 14 Scott had a six point lead at the top of the table with Chris Eastment and Mark Vincent in equal second place. Jason’s 17 points from 14 matches (1.21 per prediction) has been enough to catapult himself to the top of the monthly table by two clear points ahead of Scott.

Neale Ray is a distant third on 34 points, so it really is looking like a straight fight between the top two.

Twenty Point Jackpot: Increasing

The Jackpot will be £35 for Round 15 and will continue to grow at the rate of £1 per Round until somebody achieves the magical 20 points. Should there be no winner in Game 02, then the prize will be rolled-over into next season and would start at £38.
