Round 16: Review

With one Round to go it certainly looks as though Scott Symonds will be crowned the fourteenth SPAGames Premier Predictions Champion. He now has a nine point lead at the top of the Overall table after collecting 11 points in Round 16.

Eleven points wasn’t enough to top the Round 16 table though as that honour goes to Jamie Cox this week with his 12 points. Jamie collected half of that score from the three matches on Sunday (six from three), when he correctly predicted that Chelsea would beat Watford 3-0 and Arsenal would draw at home with Brighton (1-1).

In the Overall table Simon Allen in second place now has a six point lead over Gary Alcroft in third (133 points). Neale Ray, Martin Gayton and Mike Hodgson are all locked together just behind Gary on 130 points a piece.

The End is Nigh: Prizes

It looks likely that Scott and Simon will finish the season in first and second place respectively, which is a shame from an excitement point of view for the top two positions.

However, the fight for the remaining two prize places (third and fourth) at the top of the table is pretty hot. There’s no difference in the prize that can be won for third and fourth, both amounts are £39.15 for this season. It is however the first Game in which a prize has been available for fourth place.

The final Player of the Month prize is also being led by Scott at the moment. Scott (55 points) is just one point ahead of Jason Brown (54), but these two are streets ahead of Neale Ray in third (45). The prize for winning the Player of the Month is £19.58.

As a quick reminder, in the Overall table places are determined in the first instance by total points, followed by Exact Scores and the Correct Predictions. You can read more in our Game Rules. Also, why not read our Prize Breakdown story again to see how the prize fund will be distributed at the end of the season.
