Premier Predictions is about to enter its tenth season and we’re hoping to expand to a record number of entries.
Usually after a major tournament in the Summer, like the Euro’s we should have had this year, we would get a number of new players. With the Euro’s being postponed until next year we’ve put a few invites out on Twitter to see if we can get some knowledgeable, competitive players on board.
So for the benefit of any new players, here’s a brief overview of Premier Predictions…
We play two games a season to keep the interest levels up. Game 01 runs from the start of the season until Christmas, and then we have a second game in the new year until the end of the season.
Entry is £25 per game and there are a number of ways to win prize money, including… player of the month, the One Round Wonder and the Twenty Point Jackpot among others. Of course there are prizes for the top positions in the game and some others spread through the league.
You score points by correctly predicting the outcome of Premier League matches. It’s simply three points for an exact prediction or one point for getting the outcome correct (win, draw or loss) but not the exact score. You can see an in depth explanation in the Rules.
Money and Cup
The cost of entry will remain at £25 with 80% of that going towards the various prizes awarded during the season. You can see what prizes were won in the season review which was published recently.
There’s some thought that a Cup competition will be introduced this year as well, to run alongside the normal league. We’re just trying to figure out how that might work and if we have a sponsor on hand for the prize.
