The SACS League Cup closely follows the format of the real-life League Cup. Every round (except the final) will be played over two legs, with the player who has the highest aggregate score proceeding to the next round. The Final will only be played over one leg.
To whittle the enries down to a workable number i.e. 32, there will be a qualifying period at the start of Game 02 – this will last to the end of Game Round 03. That’s Sunday 31st January and consists of 36 matches to predict.
The lowest placed players in the Overall Table will be entered into the Preliminary Round draw. Everyone else will progress to Round One.
Rules and Prize
You can take a read of the League Cup Rules if you like – they’re at the bottom of the Rules Page. Basically whoever has the most points after the two legs proceeds to the next round. The deciding factors in the event of a tie on aggregate are…
- Exact Predictions over the two legs wins
- Scored most in the first leg
- Highest in the Overall Premier Predictions table after the second leg or Final (which is one leg)
- The toss of a coin
The prizes for the SACS League Cup will be £35 for the Winner and £15 for the Runner-up once again. Steve Keay will be defending his title while Darren Addy will be hoping to go one step further and win it. Why not take a look at the story of our first League Cup in Game 01 of this season?
